September Muzzleloader     6 day hunts
$5,000-No more than 2 hunts-155" minimum gross score
A deposit of $3,500 is required to book this hunt. Upon arrival into camp the client will be required to submit a single bank check or money order (no personal checks) for $1,500. If the client does not draw blood on a 155" buck or better the entire $1,500 will be refunded back to them. If the client chooses to shoot a buck that scores 149" or less there will be no refund and an additional $500 fee. There will be no penalty for deer grossing 150" to 154".

November Archery Season     10 day hunts

December Rifle Season     6 day hunts

All gun hunts are 6 full hunting days unless prior arrangements are made. Bow hunts are a maximum of 10 days. Our guests are offered the choice of staying at a Bed and Breakfast or in a nearby motel. Transportation is available if you are flying in to Dodge City or Wichita, so there is no need to rent a vehicle. Price does not include Permit, License or travel expense and all state regulations apply to our clients. 5 Mile Creek and it's partners, landowners and associates are in no way responsible for any accidents that may occur during your trip. You are hunting with us at your own risk and we will do everything we can to make it a comfortable, exciting, and safe experience for you.
The initial down payment is non-refundable, but in the case you can not hunt in 2010 your payment will automatically go towards the 2011 season at the same price.

The following changes are being made due to 2 major observations I made over the course of this season. The first is that although the common thinking is that a buck will maximize his potential around 5 1/2 years old, we harvested 3 bucks this season that were over 5 1/2 and only one of them showed the signs of rack deterioration. I named him Mississippi and he was at least 8 1/2 and maybe 9 1/2 years old. This tells me that our deer have the potential to build larger racks until they are 7 1/2.  The second is that we have created an environment where pressure is minimal, the deer have all the necessary nutrition to exceed their needs and I do my homework. In the spring of 2010 I will be taking our management system to the next level. I can not wait to see the results of all of the hard work that is to come.
